Bushido: The rapper’s fortune and earnings

Bushido started hip hop in 1998. At that time, the rapper, who acted under the pseudonym Sonny Black, was mainly active in Berlin’s underground and built up his first fan base there. He supplied his fans with underground tapes, and his first national successes followed when he joined the Aggro Berlin label. Here he formed a duo with his partner Fler  and also attracted attention with various solo productions.

Own label

In 2004, he split from Aggro Berlin and moved to his own label, which the rapper called ersguterjunge (now: bushidoersguterjunge). With the first productions that followed, Bushido established himself even better with fans and was celebrated. The first album to reach number one in the charts was “Von der Skyline zum Bordstein zurück”. This album also received platinum awards and various prizes, such as the Comet. Active artists under his label currently include Animus (since 2019) and Young Piano (since 2018). Successful rapper  Capital Bra (2018 – 2019) and Samra (2017 – 2019) recently split again.

In 2009, Bushido made his own film, “ Zeiten ändern dich ” (“Times change you”) about his life and also wrote a book. He worked with his then rival Sido and released the album “23” with the rapper. This was followed by a collaboration with Kay One , which was however dissolved again.

Albums

To date, he has released eleven solo albums, including “Sonny Black”, which was released on February 14, 2014 and features guest contributions from Kollegah , Farid Bang and Shindy. He also achieved gold status with the album “Carlo Cokxxx Nutten 3”, released in February 2015. His album “Black Friday” was released in June 2017, which, in addition to setting a streaming record, also went gold. His most recent album to date, Mythos, was released in 2018 and enjoyed moderate success.

The musician and hip-hop producer has numerous sources of income, which have generated a fortune in the millions . He primarily earns money from the sale of his records, tours, merchandise and collaborations with other artists and rappers who release albums under his label ersguterjunge (bushidoersguterjunge since 2011). He also owns a shop on Alexanderplatz in Berlin, where he sells fashion he has designed. His aquarium shop “Into the blue” is also said to be doing quite well in Berlin.

Bushido’s film also brought in a lot of money, as did the sale of his autobiography, which immediately went to the top of the bestseller list. Another source of income is his work as an entrepreneur in the real estate sector . Bushido is co-owner of a company that buys and sells apartments. One year after the company was founded in 2008, it had already made a profit of one million euros. Over the years, Bushido has probably also amassed a handsome income from this. Since things have been quieter for the artist recently, the reputable real estate business could generate more income than music.
